Our weeks were so busy that Chris and I are just relaxing this weekend! Watching movies on TV, doing nothing, so far we just left the house to buy food for the week and I went to visit a girl waiting for transplant in hospital. Was pretty cross with myself though when I woke up at 6 this morning and couldnt go back to sleep!
Been thinking about my lungs a lot since yesterday (obviously because it's actually been a while since I visited someone pre-transplant @ hospital, and it brings back so much memories). How they feel like they're mine now, they breathe without me even thinking about it, unlike my own lungs used to be. How can someone else's lungs be more comfortable in my body than my own ever were??? Still so mind bogling. Yet at the same time my body can start attacking these beautiful lungs at any moment and they can start struggling worse than my old ones did. Oh well, let's hope that never happens.
The National Tx Games are in less than a month's time!!!!!!!!!! Creeped up on me so quickly with the wedding and everything that happened. Looking forward to it, but seriously trying to get fitter now (not that I'm extremely unfit, just need to practise the squash and walking). Last time @ nationals 2 years ago I hadn't even MET Chris! Met him like a week after. How things have changed!
Anyway, have a good weekend. Oh, and since it's 9/11 (why not 11/9, makes more sense???) and everyone's talking abt what they were doing then the twin towers got hit, here's my 2 cents: I was in grade 11, we were writing exams, Maths in my case, the next day. I came home from school and turned on the TV. Saw a plane flying into a builing and I thought "stupid action movie" and turned the TV right off. Started practising piano instead. Then my sister or someone came home and said we must watch TV!!!! So I clicked, oh, CNN is not doing a dumb movie review, it's actually LIVE! Anyway, felt very sorry for everyone who lost their lives there and their families, it was horrible.
