LOTS of happenings!!!!

Wow, been a while since I've blogged! Quite a bit has happened. For one, I passed my 27 month lungaversary, whoohoo!!!

Also had some minor surgery yesterday. Been having some gynaecological issues for more than a year now (aggravated by my anti rejection meds which suppresses my imune system meaning my body doesnt want to heal itself like it should), so had my cervix cauterised and she also did more biopsies, just to make sure nothing serious is wrong. So should be getting results back later in the week. Wasn't too stressed about the surgery, I've had worse surgery after all, just hope the problem gets sorted out now! Was a bit worried about my new lungs and being under general , but there was no problem :-) With my old lungs it would've been too risky to do the procedure. So all went well, and no pain, yay.

Chris and I had some crappy news about moving into our new place... the sellers can only move into THEIR new place on the 14th of May, so he can only move in on the 15th. But the new tennants for his current place are moving in on the 1st... so my poor fiance is homeless for 2 weeks :-( At least the sellers have been really great, saying he can bring his furniture over on the 1st and store it in the study, so he'll just have to sleep over at friends' place for those 2 weeks. My room's also looking like a storage room, with some of the stuff we've bought, things I've bought up from PE on our last trip, some of Chris's stuff etc... can't WAIT FOR THE 15TH!!!!!

Work's been extremely tense and stresfull, thank goodness this week's only 3 days long (yesterday was sick leave and today's a public holiday). Also just been getting into the gymming thing again, but not allowed to gym for a week unfortunately... gives me time to study, writing an exam on the 7th of June or somewhere around that date.

Busy making wedding invites today and watching Chris pack... what a life. Hope you week's been good so far! Please continue to pray for Trevor, last I heard he's on a trachi (spelling) which is a ventilator through your throat which enables you to talk and eat, and that he's eating, which is good.

Weekend and stuff

The weekend was OK, had transplant network meeting of Sat morning, was nice to see some old faces again! Sat afternoon, Chris and I stumbled upon an awesome furniture bargain... we were going to a specific furniture store, just to get there too late and they'd closed already. So then we saw a new store had opened right next to it and was still open. We saw this really nice couch, chocolate leather, and when asking how much it was, we found out the whole set (3 seater, 2 seater and 1 seater) was going for half-price! Opening special :-) So... we've got couches!!!

Sat evening we went to the movies with Andrew, saw Outrageous, a South African stand-up comedy movie... was really good!!! Haven't laughed like that in a while! Sunday we went shopping for one of my flower-girls' dresses! She looks so cute in it, and loving it of course!

This week got off to a very busy start, although not unexpectedly though! The day just flew past, and tomorrow might even be worse. Got to go to gym afterwards which was great, just feeling a tad unfit :-( Might go for a swim tomorrow.

On a serious note... Trevor is still strugling and waiting for a new donor heart. I really really really hope and pray he gets one!!! The whole episode's made me rather anxious... we got our transplants on the same day, now he needs a new one... if I needed another transplant I can't get one.. (too few donors for lungs here, they don't do re-transplants) unless I go overseas or something. But the point is it's been scary. And feeling anxious makes it feel like I'm breathing faster.. not a good combination! Then I get scared that my lungs might also reject... that's when going to the gym or having lung functions done helps at least, makes me realise it's in my mind! So all in all I've been very aware of how fragile life is, and trying not to freak out about it. Doesn't help with my sleeping either!

Hopefully the rest of the week goes smoothly, and all the organising surrounding moving on the 1st of May (well Chris will be moving in, but it's setting up OUR home :-)... gets sorted out without any hassles! Too tired for hassles!!! Have a good week!

Halfway through the week!

Wednesday, yay! Not too much to report on... week back at work's been off to a rough start! But what's new, lol... had my 3-monthly lung function tests done... 100% FEV1% :-D Not really sure how it measures to my 101% from last time though, because they've got a new machine! And the readings sometimes differ a bit. But anyway, next time I'll have some thing to measure against again!

Just 2 more weekends till Chris moves into our new place!!!! Bought a vacuum cleaner and some other cleaning stuffs over the weekend, so on 1 May it's CLEANING TIME!!! Spring cleaning in Autumn or something! Can't wait!

Trevor is doing a bit better it seems, waiting for a new heart after getting a Berlin Heart a week and a half ago. Please pray that he gets a new heart again SOON!!!!

Need to get back to gym SERIOUSLY!!! Didn't gym last week in PE, and before that that I only went once after I hurt my foot. And on Monday I got my flu shot (normally dont exercise 2 days afterwards). So... TOMORROW IS THE DAY! Gymming after work, and then swimming sometime during the weekend.

Hope yours was a good week!

Tomorrow is 4 months till the big day!

Blogging from PE! Our "holiday" here is already halfway, can't believe it! Wedding plans are going OK, on Sat we found my sister a bridesmaid's dress, beautiful! Also met with the organist from church on Sunday to discuss the music for the ceremony. Yesterday we met up with the photographer, as well as my friend and her dad who are doing my flowers. Today Chris and I are seeing the church minister. Then on Thursday we have to decide on a cake, and see some flower distributer people etc. Phew... I DEFINITELY wasn't meant to be a wedding planner!!!!!

News on Trevor Gird: He took a turn for the worse in last week, and they have given him a Berlin heart. He's on the waiting list again for a new heart. The poor guy's been through SO MUCH in the last 2 months! I pray that he gets his new heart SOON!!!! It just makes me realise how short and unpredictable life is, and how lucky I am.

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend!
