Apart from our amazing touristy adventures with Anna and Casey we are also eating like KINGS. Yesterday after Robben Island we experienced true South African Dining in the Waterfront at Karibu. Anna and Casey shared a venison platter with Ostrich, Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, Lamb and Beef! We all had Putu Pap and Chakalaka as well as a side dish. I had fish (when in CT and all that...) which was AMAZING. For dessert Chris was in chocolate heaven, and the rest of us had Hertzoggies with ice-cream. Although very nice, I can still say my gran's Hertzoggies are MUCH better. All accompanied by a very yummy Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve wine!
This morning we had breakfast at a trendy place in the city called Haas. It was A & C's recommendation as they have been before. They have moved since last year but luckily we have Google and Garmin! The food was very very yummy and very well priced as well! A bit of a weird Alice in Wonderland vibe. Definitely awesome.
After doing Table Mountain we had some lovely seafood at Mariner's Wharf in Hout Bay... an old favourite!!! It did not disappoint!! Neither did the cocktails.
