Wet Wednesday

Whoever commented on Monday's post saying winter in Joburg consists of "Clear blue skies,no rain or wind or thunder storms..." didn't know what they were talking about... The rain is pouring down, there was some serious thunder, and it's pretty dark. And it's JUNE, ie WINTER. So now I have to wait for the weather to clear before I can go to gym. And I really want to go because I haven't been since Saturday...

Feeling a bit less depressed about not finding a job, probably as a result of a bit more than 9 hours worth of sleep. And a year ago this time I would kill to be able to say 'having trouble finding a job' is my biggest problem...

I've also put 2 links up on the right side, where you can vote for my blog. It has been nominated for the Blogger's Choice Awards a while ago. Although I have NO chance of winning, being up against Tricia and Nate's blog :-) At least it LOOKS cool!!

I have also been made a 'star member' at Instablogs... whatever that means... I think it's because my article on Cellular memory got so many stars... well here are two more links to my two latest articles...

Really interesting article on cellular memory. Must admit, I'm a bit of a sceptic myself.

Good luck with the job hunting- I'm sure the perfect opportunity will appear soon (and probably when you least expect it!)

Alice,
Good luck with the job stuff and dealing witht he icky weather. I love the pictures your dad took. Would it be okay if I shared them with my sister's family? They had an au paire from South Africa and they would really enjoy them.

I want to thank you for a terrific blog. My brother received a lung transplant 3 weeks ago and I was able to use your blog as a general guideline for his progress. Whenever there was a question about his progress I would check your post transplant blogs to see if he was on a "normal" course. Thank You again, your blog has been very helpful, and you are an inspiration. You have our vote! Lisa NJ
