So the flight was great!!! Couldn't get over how easy it was to breathe on the plane!!!! haven't been on a plane without O2 for years... I did wear my mask though, for fear of getting another cold/flu!!! And luckily no-one sat next to me, so I didn't have to explain to someone that I don't have any mutant diseases, but I just don't feel like inhaling their germs!
What did suck though was the fact that my flight was delayed by 4 hours... as our plane broke, and they didn't manage to fix it, and had to fly in another plane to fetch us, and just as the new plane arrived, the crew changed shifts, so we had to wait for the new team to arrive. When they eventually DID arrive, they were met with a standing ovation!!! As everyone was so frustrated by then... AND the pilot WAS very sexy... So after he gracefully waved at us, we finally boarded and off we went!
At least they did give us meal vouchers to keep us entertained/alive, AND we get R450 discount on our next flight with them, which is awesome..

So very, very happy for you. I can only imagine the emotions.
And I don't know how else to reach you, but I though you should see this. You've linked and been linked to Pepe/Gina, and it looks unfortunate but not for CF reasons.

You've talked to Gina/Pepe on the CF forums before, right?
No I haven't... I'm friends with her on facebook, but have never communicated with her diractly. I have however frequently talked to Paul Mooney...
So, can you clear up the Gina/Pepe thing for us?
In my ignorance I hadn't even thought about how you would have managed flights before or after your transplant. I guess that was another one of those exciting moments (likely singing along to music!) where you realise just how many things were so difficult as your lungs deteriorated. I guess you could always tell anyone who asked that the mask is the latest accessory being modelled on the catwalk and all the hip and trendy people are wearing them these days... ;)
