Alice's condition is still the same. The doctor phoned my mom this morning to tell her how Alice is doing. They say that she is frustrated and restless (probably because the ventilator irritates her), but they are still happy with they way she is doing and with her progress. My mom will be visiting her again later this morning.

Dealing with the vent is my greatest fear of the whole transplant process... I could uderstand Alice being irritated.

Knowing Alice, I think it's great news that she is frustrated and irritated - that's part of her fighting nature/spirit, and I think it's a great sign that she is recovering!
Can't wait to be able to text/sms her as soon as she can! I'm missing my friend dearly ...

I will be praying for God's peace to settle over Alice today, so she will be able to tolerate the vent without needing a lot of sedation. Thank you for your great updates. From MI, USA
